Small-scale Technology Certificates (STCs) are a meaningful part of the economics of every Australian residential install — but only if the paperwork is right the first time.
Before the install
- Confirm the installer and designer accreditation are current
- Check the panels and inverter are on the approved product lists
- Record the site address and system details accurately
On the day
- Capture geotagged photos of the array, inverter and switchboard
- Complete and sign the installation checklist on site
After commissioning
- Collect the customer signature on the STC assignment form
- Store the certificate of compliance with the project record
Keeping all of this against the project — rather than in email threads — is what makes audits painless.
